P.S. 58 Project Lab

Apprentice Media Teacher for Project Lab (P.S. 58) from 2010-2011. Project Lab aimed to help students in grades K through 5 realize their potential through the use of project based learning (PBL) while studying media and visual arts.

Students became real-life superheroes, setting out to solve community problems through art, filmmaking, and technology… with a focus on having fun!

Using the New York City “Blueprint for Teaching and Learning in the Moving Image,” students built upon newly developed skills in media and visual arts to learn about photography and film. Students used traditional art supplies along with computers, video cameras, digital cameras, scanners, editing software, social media, and online collaboration as participants in Project Lab.
